Why 'download our app' kills photo sharing
Every extra step between your guests and their photos costs you completions. Asking someone to find an app in the App Store or Google Play, install it, create an account, and then log in is enough friction that most people simply give up. The result is low engagement and a flood of 'can you just send me the pictures?' messages.
The good news: you do not need an app to share event photos. Modern photo delivery works entirely in the web browser your guests already have.
The no-app way to share event photos
FaceDeliver runs in any browser on any phone or laptop. Guests open a link or scan a QR code, take a selfie, and immediately see a private gallery of the photos they appear in. There is nothing to install, nothing to update, and no app-store account required.
This works the same for weddings, school events, college fests, corporate conferences, and birthday parties. If a guest can open a web page, they can get their photos.
How it works in practice
1. The organizer uploads event photos. 2. A unique QR code and link are generated for the event. 3. Guests scan or tap, take a selfie, and AI face matching delivers their personal gallery. 4. They download full-resolution images straight to their device.
Because it is browser-based, you can put the QR code anywhere — on a printed card, a projector slide, a name badge, or a follow-up email — and it just works.
Browser sharing vs. a native app
A native app means downloads, permissions, storage space, and ongoing updates — barriers that reduce how many guests actually get their photos. Browser-based sharing means a guest goes from a QR code to their gallery in under a minute, on the first try.
For one-time events especially, asking guests to install an app makes no sense. Sharing event photos without an app gets more photos into more hands with less support work for you.
Get started
If you want to share event photos without forcing anyone to download an app, create your event on FaceDeliver, upload your gallery, and hand out the QR code. Your guests will thank you for how easy it is.
